Creating & Managing Lists

You can create lists to define how certain payments are handled. Examples include:

  • Blocked List – Automatically deny payments from specific customers.
  • Maximum Withdrawal Amount – Set a cap on withdrawals.

To create a list: -

  1. Click the Lists tab in the toolbar and select Add List.
  2. Provide a Name (required) and an optional Slug for easy reference.
  3. Choose a Type (e.g., phone number, email, account number, transaction amount).
  4. Enter the list items manually or upload a CSV file.
  5. Click Add to save the list.

Setting Up Radar Rules for Fraud Prevention

Chapa’s Radar allows you to create rules that automatically authorize or block payments based on specific conditions.

Adding Authorization Rules

Use these to control payment approvals based on conditions like transaction amounts or email addresses.

  1. Click the Rules tab and select Add Rule.
  2. Choose an Attribute (e.g., Mobile, Email, Amount).
  3. Select an Operator (e.g., Equals, Greater Than, Contains).
  4. Pick a List to compare the rule against.
  5. Define the Rule Type (applies to payouts or pay-ins).
  6. Click Test Rule to verify its function before enabling it.
  7. Click Add to save the rule.

By default, new rules are disabled until reviewed and enabled.

Adding Block Rules

Block rules automatically prevent certain transactions based on conditions like daily transaction limits, specific accounts, or email addresses. The process is the same as Authorization Rules, but instead of allowing transactions, these rules will block them when triggered.

By setting up Lists and Rules, you can better control transactions, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with your business policies.
